FISSURE Playground 1 playoffs: Preview
FISSURE Playground 1's playoffs begin today and two Asian teams are in the mix. After Rare Atom's disappointing outing in Group B, Lynn Vision aced the same group, taking down 3DMAX and paIN to clear the group stage 2-0. 3DMAX knocked paIN out in the group B decider, booking a quarter-final spot.
After going down to Group A's winners GamerLegion, SAW sent FalleN's FURIA home advancing to the playoffs alongside GamerLegion. TYLOO put up an impressive group stage, taking down Astralis and Virtus.pro to book their quarter-final spot. Astralis breezed past MIBR in the decider, filling the last playoffs spot from group C. After a disappointing Major outing, Complexity have come out all guns blazing to clear Group D 2-0, taking down BetBoom and BIG.
BetBoom got the better of BIG in the decider, clinching the last vacancy in the playoffs. The playoffs are underway and TYLOO are taking on 3DMAX in the first quarter-final game. Lynn Vision will take on Astralis later today. Complexity square up against SAW and GamerLegion will face BetBoom. The single-elimination bracket playoffs will conclude with a bo5 grand-final to crown the winner. FISSURE Playground 1 carries a $1,000,000 USD prize pool.
