FURIA foils jks' debut game with FlyQuest with a 2-1 win

The Upper bracket round of IEM Cologne 2925 Stage 1 started off with jks' debut for FlyQuest, ending on a bitter note, as FURIA bested them in a 2-1 fashion.

The first map took us to Inferno, where FlyQuest started off with a 5-0 lead, courtesy of a 1v2 clutch by INS despite low HP in round 2. Once the buy rounds unfolded, yuurih stepped up with his muiti-frags, restricting FlyQuest to 6 rounds on the T-side. However, once the sides switched, it was molodoy's turn to take charge, as he took FURIA to a 13-7 win.

The second map took us to Dust2, which turned out to be an intensely close match. The first half ended once again with an even scoreline, as a FURIA found a late half resurgence on the T-side. Down 11-8, FlyQuest strung together 4 rounds in a row, only to lose the final round of regulation and take the game to Overtime.

Starting on the CT-side, FURIA secured two rounds, with molodoy and yuurih rising to the occassion with multi-frags. FlyQuest managed to steal the first round of their CT-side with unorthodox aggression, and were helped out with a 3k from Vexite to secure double Overtime. FlyQuest ended up closing the map with a 19-17 win, taking the game to Mirage.

The final map once again started off with a 6-6 scoreline, with FlyQuest on the T-side, and FURIA on the CT-side. However, after losing both pistols, FURIA turned the tides in the force buy of the second half, turning the momentum in their favour to secure 13-10 win.
