The MongolZ start their Cologne campaign with a clean win over 3DMAX
The MongolZ kicked off their IEM Cologne 2025 campaign with a clean 2-0 win as they took down 3DMAX in the Group A upper bracket quarter-final. The MongolZ will next face Falcons in the upper bracket semi-final while 3DMAX drop to the lower bracket and will fight to their tournament lives against GamerLegion.
3DMAX's pick of Nuke saw the French team not turn up on their map as a 10 round CT half shut out 3DMAX from the map with The MongolZ easing to a 13-2 win with Techno on top of the scoreboard with 17 kills while each player on The MongolZ finished with a rating of 1.28 or above.
Late activation on their CT half saw 3DMAX end Ancient with five defensive rounds and it looked it a third map will be needed but back-to-back clutches from mzinho and Techno including a 1v4 from mzinho to put The MongolZ on map point saw Techno close out the series with a 1v2 to have The MongolZ close Ancient at 13-10.
