Spirit crush MOUZ to storm to IEM Cologne 2025 title
Spirit breezed to a comfortable IEM Cologne 2025 title as chopper and his boys demolished MOUZ in the BO5 grand final to lock in the title in three straight maps. For Spirit, it is the organisation's first Cologne title.As expected, it was a donk show with the young Russian superstar putting up a 1.53 rating in the final.
MOUZ's pick of Mirage saw them unable to get going on their T side as a stellar CT half led by chopper and sh1ro saw Spirit go 10-2 up. The second half pistol win raised some hopes of a comeback attempt but donk did what donk does as an incredible quad kill saw Spirit turn around a 3v5 to race away to a 13-7 win.
Brollan made sure MOUZ hit back instantly as they went 8-4 up on Spirit's pick of Ancient, which MOUZ let slide through in the veto. While MOUZ's captain had a stellar first half on Ancient, Spirit's captain, chopper picked up a huge pistol for Spirit after denying Brollan a 1v2. Despite going 5-11 down, donk and sh1ro activated late to see Spirit steal a 13-11 win to go 2-0 up in the BO5 final, closing out their first map pick on the back of eight straight rounds. The pistol win and conversions saw MOUZ start with a 3-0 lead but they could manage only one gun round on their T side and it was a pretty toothless CT half that saw Spirit ease to a 13-6 win that saw Spirit ease to a 3-0 win.
