Indian teams struggle in recent ESEA Open S54 games

VICTORES SUMUS concede crushing 2-13 defeat in the latest round

As the ESEA Open Season 54 Asia progresses through its rounds, the proceedings get tougher and sterner. Indian team VICTORES SUMUS and Bhavi's Counter-Strike venture Arise, seem to be struggling against Asian squads. Both these teams started their campaign with a flurry of wins, jumping straight to the top of the leaderboards but are now slowly dripping down.

Round 4

Arise was handed a bye in round 3 as their opponents Clutch did not show up for their match in time.

Arise vs The QUBE

Starting on the T-side of Mirage, Arise salvaged a 5-7 scoreline at halftime after getting off to a shaky start. The QUBE posted a superior T-side on Mirage, toppling Bhavi and co.'s CT-defense, putting up a 6-1 T-side. The Mongolian five stack comfortably won Mirage 13-6 as Bhavi was Arise's lone fighter in the second half. Bhavi finished the map with 22 frags and ADR of 113.

VICTORES SUMUS was handed a bye in round 4 as their opponents Paradox Academy did not show up for their match in time.

Round 5

VICTORES SUMUS vs TEAM UO

VICTORES SUMUS bounced back from their form slump, taking down Team UO in their fifth round matchup. The bo1 took us to Ancient where VICTORES SUMUS started on the T-side and posted a commanding 8-4 lead. Switching over, the Indian side conceded the initial couple of rounds but came right back to close Ancient 13-7. clouda and JUSTSWING put up 17 frags a piece, playing a big role in VICTORES SUMUS's fifth round win.

Arise vs VTM Blaze

Arise faced Vietnamese squad VTM Blaze in the fifth round and their bo1 took place on Dust2. With just KarmaaN hitting double figures, Arise struggled on the CT-side of Dust2 as VTM Blaze plowed through, posting a match-winning 10-2 lead in the first half. Arise clawed back a couple of rounds in the second half but ended up losing the match 13-4.

Round 6

VICTORES SUMUS vs BORING PLAYER

VICTORES SUMUS were back on Ancient in the sixth round against BORING PLAYER. The Chinese side started on the CT-side and shut down VICTORES SUMUS's plays on the T-side. A colossal 141 ADR half from zdr2k saw BORING PLAYER build a 11-1 lead on the CT-side and close out Ancient 13-2, dropping just a single round in each half.

With four wins and two losses, VICTORES SUMUS are gatekeeping the top 10 at #10 as Change The Game and The QUBE sit on top with flawless records after playing six matches. Arise are currently at #34-35 having won three out of five games.
