Techno picks up first-ever MVP title

The experienced rifler steps up

With The MongolZ winning their first-ever big event trophy after their Esports World Cup 2025 title, The MongolZ also saw one of their senior most members of their squad, Techno, take home his first-ever HLTV MVP medal.

Techno finished the Esports World Cup 2025 with an overall 1.39 rating, over the course of 11 maps played in the tournament. It's a redemption moment for Techno, who had a below average start to the first season of 2025 but has picked up in the second season of 2025. After a 1.06 and 1.05 rating at IEM Katowice 2025 and PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, Techno had a string of low rated events to see out the first season of 2025, which has saw The MongolZ fail to pick up a LAN title.

He had a 1.07 rating at IEM Cologne 2025, where they exited in the semi-finals before a strong BLAST Bounty Season 2 where he put up a 1.20 rating and a 1.01 rating at the Bounty 2025 Season 2 Finals. While The MongolZ failed to pick up the trophies at these events, it was a stand out performance at the Esports World Cup 2025, where not only did Techno shine but it resulted in The MongolZ taking the trophy as well.

Barring the Dust2 map against Aurora in the Grand Final of the Esports World Cup 2025, Techno put up a rating of 1.00 or more in all of the maps played at the Esports World Cup with his best performance being in the decider against Vitality on Nuke, in the semi-finals where his 27 kill, 2.09 rating show saw The MongolZ eliminate Vitality.

The Esports World Cup 2025 is Techno's second notable trophy in his stint with The MongolZ, after having won the YaLLa Compass 2024 last year. After two years at Checkmate between September 2020 and March 2022, Techno spent a short stint at IHC before joining The MongolZ in April 2023, where he has become a key member for Asia's best.
