THE MONGOLZ WINS ESPORTS WORLD CUP 2025 CS2
After two Grand Final losses at the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 and the BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 2 Finals, The MongolZ have finally picked up a Tier-1 LAN trophy in 2025. The MongolZ took down Aurora Gaming 3-0 in the final of the Esports World Cup 2025 Counter-Strike 2 to take the title and a hefty prize money of $500,000.
The pistol win and conversions made sure The MongolZ started their pick of Mirage with a two round lead on their T side after a tight opening half. The second half pistol had Aurora set to take Mirage after going 11-8 up with woxic coming in big with a couple of crucial clutches but a couple of massive low buy round steals saw The MongolZ push Mirage to overtime where another trade of rounds saw them hold on for a 16-14 win. Barring the opening pistol and conversions, Aurora found no footing on their T side on Dust2 with the Turkish squad failing to enter the A site. Another 7-5 half for The MongolZ was this time kept clean as mzinho topped the scoreboard with 20 kills that saw The MongolZ take Aurora's first pick, 13-9 to go 2-0 up in the final.

Nuke was a stomp from The MongolZ as they raced a way to a 9-3 half, picking up man disadvantage rounds and low buy rounds as Senzu and Techno went above and beyond when needed. MAJ3R and jottAAA made sure Aurora didn't drop a 5v2 on their T side pistol but the conversion post that was all that they could manage as The MongolZ eased to a 13-4 win to close the Grand Final in straight maps at 3-0.
