The MongolZ, TYLOO, Lynn Vision get direct invite to IEM Chengdu 2025
ESL has revealed the directly invited teams for IEM Chengdu 2025 with three top Asian teams getting a direct invite to the Chinese LAN event. The MongolZ, coming off their recently Esports World Cup 2025, will be headlining the event along with two home teams.
Amongst the other teams from Asia, who have received a direct invite are, TYLOO and Lynn Vision with both teams being home teams. While The MongolZ and TYLOO have locked in invites via VRS Asia, Lynn Vision makes it through VRS Asia. ESL have also announced that Aurora and GamerLegion had declined their invites to the event, which made HEROIC and Virtus.pro available to receive the invites, as they were the next eligible teams according to their VRS ranks and accepted the invites. The usual suspects such as Vitality, Spirit, MOUZ, Falcons are amongst the others to have received an invite as well.
The teams were invited based on the VRS of August 4, 2025 with the roster submission for the event being October 20, 2025. IEM Chengdu 2025 will be a 16 team event held in Chengdu between November 3 and November 9, 2025, following a double elimination BO3 format with the teams being put in two groups. The tournament will boast of a prize pool of $1,000,000.
