Rare Atom overcome the NomadS challenge at the ECL S50 APAC Cup 1

A hard-fought 2-1 win for Chinese team

Rare Atom got the better of NomadS in the Consolidation final of the ESL Challenger League Season 50 Asia-Pacific Cup 1 as the Chinese team came out on top to stay alive in the event after a 2-1 win. The loss also marked the end of the road for NomadS in the tournament.

A strong T side led by L1haNg and Summer saw Rare Atom turn around a two round deficit on NomadS's pick of Dust2. Rare Atom drew first blood in the series with a 13-10 win before the Mongolian team fought back. Rare Atom had to fight off map point on their pick of Ancient to head to overtime but were unable to close it out ats IZR's 27 kill show kept NomadS alive in the match with a 16-14 win.

Rare Atom made sure to avoid any upset attempts as they got the decider on Inferno going with a 6-0 start and while NomadS managed to pull things back at an 4-8 half in the Chinese team's favour, a strong showing from Rare Atom's new AWPer, Tiger got them to a 13-7 win to lock in a 2-1 series win. Rare Atom's win now sets up a rematch of the upper bracket final as they will take on compatriots, Lynn Vision once again and hope to dish out some revenge for a lopsided affair previously.
