FISSURE Playground 2: Opening matches revealed

TYLOO come in as the defending champions

The second iteration of FISSURE Playground kicks off this weekend on Friday, 12th September 2025 at Belgrade, Serbia. The tournament begins with a Swiss system group stage and the organizer has just unveiled the opening matchups. The MongolZ will make their first Tier-1 appearance after winning the Esports World Cup at FISSURE Playground 2 and will kick off their campaign against 3DMAX. Chinese side Lynn Vision lock horns with G2 who trumped Vitality to win BLAST Open London yesterday.

The defending champions TYLOO will take on GamerLegion in their opening match. At FISSURE Playground 1, TYLOO took down 3DMAX, SAW and Astralis in the playoffs to mark Chinese Counter-Strike's first big event win. The star-studded Falcons take on VP and Aurora face Astralis to conclude the first day's play. HEROIC's match against Legacy kicks off proceedings on day 2.

G2 take on Lynn Vision, FaZe clash against paIN and a FURIA-Liquid grudge matchup will close the opening round of play. In the second round, the winners and losers face off in separate brackets which repeats for a couple of iterations, sending teams with three wins to the next stage and eliminating teams with three losses.

FISSURE Playground 2 carries a prize pool of $1,250,000 USD but teams are eyeing to rack up crucial VRS points to stay on track for a Major invite at StarLadder Budapest.
