Media: BOROS doubles down on Chinese match-fixing racket
Jordanian Counter-Strike rifler, BOROS resurfaces on X with a post referencing and further affirming the presence of a match-fixing racket in some parts of Chinese Counter-Strike. BOROS quickly made a name for himself during his time with MONTE at BLAST.tv Paris 2023 Major, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive's last Major. Having become popular for his sharp aim at the time, BOROS was a hot prospect that teams were after but a few seasons later, he found himself without a team and remains so till date.
Earlier this month, BOROS alleged that Chinese Counter-Strike veteran somebody had approached him with an offer to get involved in a match-fixing scandal. "... he (somebody) and his friends asked me to match fix and I refused", stated BOROS in his initial claim. The ex-Falcons player has now taken to X again mentioning that Frankie and somebody's questionable activities goes far beyond match-fixing.
BOROS now alleges that Frankie who is supposedly the "boss" behind ATOX, even provides radar based cheats to some European teams who BOROS did not name. He also states that this information came from Frankie himself when BOROS met him in China.
Tagging ESIC in his post, BOROS claims that his personal safety was threatened in China after he rejected Frankie and somebody's proposal. Several threads have surfaced on reddit diving deeper into the alleged organized match-fixing ring in Chinese Counter-Strike and some have even attempted to tie somebody's cousin Chen Peng to match-fixing occurrences and other shady activities relating to Rare Atom, ATOX, Wings Up and many more. While the initial threads were taken down, a user copy-pasted the content to X.
This is a developing story and updates shall follow as and when new information surfaces.
