The Huns take down Alter Ego; book CAC 2025 slot
The grand-final of the CS Asia Championships 2025's Asian closed qualifier saw Alter Ego and The Huns face off for a main event slot. The bo3 started on Mirage with Alter Ego on the T-side. After conceding a post plant in the pistol round, Alter Ego stole the anti-eco off of rate's AK double kill. One shy of the ace, Gratisfaction mowed down the CTs in their force-buy round, as Alter Ego extended their lead to 5-1 in no time. nin9 found massive impact with the AWP, putting three back to back multi-kill rounds but BnTeT's Tec9 double and AWP double in the final round of the first half, gave Alter Ego a small 7-5 lead.
Alter Ego hit double figures right off the bat but nin9 stepped up once again to pull The Huns back into game. With xerolte and sk0R adding to Alter Ego's troubles, the Mongolians went all the way to 11-12 before BnTeT shut down a quick A-split with a silenced-M4 quad kill. The Huns conceded a narrow 11-13 loss on Mirage as the series headed to Nuke. On their own map pick, The Huns started on the T-side with a pistol round win but fumbled the anti-eco, once again giving Alter Ego a comfy 5-2 start to the map.
The Huns recovered and salvaged a 7-5 half but Alter Ego got off to a solid 4-0 start in the second half, hitting match point at 12-6. The Huns delivered a flawless CT-half thereafter, with nin9 and cobrazera topping the charts to push Nuke into overtime. Dropping just a single round in overtime, The Huns stole Nuke from Alter Ego, 16-13. xerolte and sk0R ended Nuke with 21 frags each.
The decider took us to Ancient where The Huns secured anti-eco and bonus conversions following their T-side pistol round win off of xerolte and Bart4k's early impact. Gratisfaction's AWP single handedly dragged Alter Ego back into the game, sweeping a 7-5 half in their favor. The Huns lost the pistol round in the second half but xerolte's MP9 double kill fetched them the anti-eco and set them on course-correct. The Huns put up a near flawless CT-side on Ancient to take the map 13-9 and wrap the series 2-1, booking their CS Asia Championships 2025 slot.
