FlyQuest see off Metizport to get first win in Bucharest
After a disastrous start to their DraculaN 2 campaign, which saw FlyQuest go down to unknowns, Basement Boys, the Oceania team fought back to end the opening day of the main event of the LAN in Romania with a win. FlyQuest saw off Metizport in their lower bracket matchup to end the day with an important win.
Barring a couple of impactful multi-kill rounds from MaiL09, Metizport found nothing on their T side of their map pick of Overpass, which saw FlyQuest go 9-3 up. A CT pistol saw Metizport pull back a couple of rounds but with nettik stepping up, FlyQuest managed to close it at 13-6 with the New Zealand rifler ending Overpass with 28 kills.
isak and Jackinho netted a big CT pistol for the Swiss team to start Dust2 and it was nettik, jks and the AWP of regali, with a crucial 1v3 early on, having a couple of big rounds, FlyQuest managed to keep it to a tied opening half with a double Tec-9 opener from nettik seeing FlyQuest steal an equaliser at the very end. Despite taking the second pistol, Metizport weren't able to build on it as a quad kill from regali on the force buy with three coming from the MP9 saw FlyQuest hit back instantly. A flawless CT half from there on saw FlyQuest pick up a convincing 13-7 win to seal the series 2-0.
The loss sees Metizport exit DraculaN Season 2 in last place with two disappointing losses.
