Rooster crash out of EPL S22

Having lost their initial couple of matches, Rooster and M80 faced off in the 0-2 pool of the ESL Pro League Season 22 Stage 1 with their backs against elimination. Rooster's do or die match started on their own map pick of Mirage. The Australian side picked up the anti-eco after dropping their T-side pistol and established a solid 6-1 lead. However they were unable to capitalize as M80 levelled the half 6-6 with the HexT-Lake duo dragging them back into the game. A 2.29 rating T-side from Swisher saw M80 deliver a flawless second half to take Mirage 13-6.

HexT finished Mirage with an ADR of 112, putting up 19 frags and a rating of 1.70. In stark contrast it was just asap on Rooster who barely made it across the 1.00 rating mark. M80 got off to a 7-0 start on the CT-side of Inferno and once again, individual brilliance propelled them a strong first half lead. This time it was slax who stepped up with a 2.15 rating half at an ADR of 113 to secure a big 9-3 lead for M80.

Rooster's tournament lifeline depended on a steep comeback on the CT-side of Inferno but the Aussies could not bag a single round in the half as M80 closed Inferno 13-3 and the series 2-0. slax topped the server with a 2.16 rating map and ADR of 125 while only TjP managed to hit double figures for Rooster on Inferno with none of their individuals touching the 1.00 rating mark. Rooster's ESL Pro League Season 22 Stage 1 campaign ends with this loss while M80 live to fight another day. Two more wins in do or die matches and M80 are into the next phase of the event, joining the elites.
