6 Players banned from CCT for cheating
Champion of Champions Season 3 Europe Series 8 erupts with chaos, bringing down the ban hammer on a couple of players each across three different teams. The organizer took to X, putting out a statement regarding the nature of these bans. It all began with a video feed discrepancy in THE's match against 1win. "The admin team detected suspicious acticity on the integrity camera of player 1Drezz (THE)", said CCT on X and this triggered a deeper dive into the issue, making it a formal investigation.
The investigation quickly took a dark turn as Akros anti-cheat made some shocking discoveries. dosikk and tEO from KHAN, d0RREN and 1Drezz from THE, singulier and R3LiFwOw from Y5 were all caught with cheating software on their computers. These players were handed a 2-year ban from CCT events as opposed to the permanent bans handed out to regular matchmaking cheaters. The remaining players on these teams are also set to serve a six-months ban period from CCT events.
All suspensions apply from the date of this statement to both current and future participation. Any scheduled matches involving affected players or teams will be forfeited.

CCT claims that Akros anti-cheat also verified hardware evidence to prove that one of Team KHAN's players dune was playing the game on 1Drezz's account. dune has also received a 2-year ban ban for account-sharing along with the rest of the scandal.
