Arise, Wicked Gaming start AMD GameOn 2025 group stage with wins

After a grueling opening day's play yesterday at AMD GameOn 2025, eight teams cleared the single-elimination bracket qualifier and have started their group stage campaigns today. After near flawless opening game win (13-1), DSD Gamin went the extra mile and recorded the event's first 13-0 against Pixel Nation in their second round matchup and cleared F4F 13-6 to make it into the group stage.

Led by Bhavi, Arise put up a 13-5 in their opening match and then a convincing 13-1 against NOS Gaming to book their group stage slot. Wicked Gaming, boasting DEFAULTER, Ph1NNN, f1redup, CycloneF and Crazy_Gamer also put up dominant showings in the qualifier against Mistake and w0w to secure a group stage spot. Old Man Gang, Firedup Gaming, Frag Theory, Eagle Gaming and Wasted potential are the other teams that made it through the open qualifier.

In the group stage, Arise has already secured two wins- a 13-5 against Firedup Gaming and a 13-4 against Frag Theory, both on Ancient. Wicked Gaming also put up an opening round win against Wasted Potential on Inferno, 13-5. After dominant group stage showings, DSD Gaming were tested in their first group stage game where Old Man Gang gave them a run for their money but the former still managed to put up a 13-10 win.
