Skyesports CEGC CS2 format announced

The event carries a $50,000 USD prize pool

The region definitions, qualifier formats, main event format and other details for the upcoming Skyesports CEGC Counter-Strike 2 LAN is now out. The LAN will take place in Chennai, featuring two teams each from India, Southeast Asia and Europe.

Southeast Asia includes Brunei, Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Europe meanwhile has the following countries included in their region, which are - Albania, Andorra, Algeria, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Libya, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Oman, Palestine, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Vatican City and Yemen.

The qualifier formats will follow a single elimination format with the games being BO1 until the quarter-finals, from where it switches to BO3s. The top 2 teams from each regional qualifier will make it to the main LAN event, in Chennai.

Southeast Asia Qualifiers

  • Dates: October 17 - October 19, 2025

  • Top 2 teams qualify for main LAN in Chennai, India

European Qualifiers

  • Dates: October 21 - October 23, 2025

  • Top 2 teams qualify for main LAN in Chennai, India

Indian Qualifiers

  • Dates: October 24 - October 26, 2025

  • Top 2 teams qualify for main LAN in Chennai, India

In the main event, these six teams are spread out across two groups of three. A round-robin group stage determines one grand-finalist from each group. The two European teams are handed top seeds in both groups, followed by Indian and Southeast Asian teams at #2 and #3.

Skyesports have explicitly mentioned that at least three players in a roster are required to be from the team's qualifier region to avoid disqualification.
