ESL Challenger League Season 50 Asia-Pacific Cup 3 Day 3-5: Recap

The third, fourth and fifth day's action at the ESL Challenger League Season 50 Asia-Pacific Cup 3, there were the lower bracket elimination games which saw a total of 8 teams head home while the upper bracket also confirmed their finalists.

LOWER BRACKET

DAY 3

Legion, Eruption sent home

Mongolian squad Eruption took on Chinese team FengDa in their lower bracket game which saw FengaDa 2-0 the Mongolian team with 13-8 and 13-6 wins on Inferno and Ancient. Another Chinese team, JustSwing meanwhile, eliminated Legion with PokemoN and co. unable to stick a comeback attempt on Nuke, going down 10-13 before being cleaned up on Inferno 4-13 to exit the tournament.

Chinggis Warriors, Last Bullet fight on

Chinggis Warriors eased past NSN in their lower bracket game as a 13-1 win on Ancient got things before before they closed the series on Inferno at 13-9 to send the Chinese team home. Another China vs Mongolia clash saw NomadS fall to Last Bullet, who reverse sweeped the series after going down 10-13 on Dust2. A dominant 13-5 win on Inferno tied the series before they hammered the Mongolian team 13-4 on Overpass.

Day 4

Chinese teams fight on as Chinggis Warriors sent home

The fourth day's action kicked off with the lower bracket games as the Chinese derby between Last Bullet and FengDa went the way of the latter with FengDa going 2-0 after two 13-8 wins on Inferno and Mirage. Chinggis Warriors suffered a shock upset at the hands of Just Swing as they were beaten comprehensively, 13-9 on Inferno and 13-8 on Ancient, which saw the Mongolian team eliminated.

DAY 5

FengDa, Kaleido move into lower bracket final

The fifth day had two lower bracket games, the two lower bracket semi-finals and it was FengDa continuing their lower bracket run as they beat DEPO 2-0 with 13-9 win on Dust2 and a 13-4 win on Mirage. Kaleido took down Just Swing in their lower bracket semi-final encounter with a 13-2 win on Ancient to get things going before closing the series with a 13-7 win on Inferno.

UPPER BRACKET

DAY 4

Rare Atom reverse sweep their way into the final, The Huns keep it clean

Rare Atom took on compatriots Kaleido in their upper bracket semi-final bout and despite losing Inferno 10-13, Rare Atom fought back with 13-7 win on Mirage and a 13-4 win on Dust2 to close out the series. The Huns meanwhile, made light work DEPO with the Mongolian team hammering DEPO 13-2 on Dust2 and 13-5 on Nuke to sail into the upper bracket final.
