ESL Pro League S22 playoffs: Preview

FaZe's hard fought 2-1 win over Aurora concludes the Swiss system group stage of ESL Pro League Season 22, setting the stage for the playoffs. The first playoffs match starts at 02:00PM IST tomorrow, Friday 10th October 2025. With NiKo, m0NESY and kyousuke topping the charts in their matches against Astralis, NAVI and MOUZ, Falcons booked their playoffs spot with a 3-0 in the group. They take on 3DMAX in the first quarter-final game tomorrow. The Frenchmen scraped through with a 3-2 in the group stage.

The MongolZ nearly pulled off the reverse sweep after being down 0-2 but were sent packing by NAVI in the 2-2 pool, who will face MOUZ in their quarter-final match. Sphinx has been delivering consistently for MOUZ so far in this iteration of the ESL Pro League with 1.50+ rating showings in MOUZ's first and last appearances in the group stage. The second upset in the group stage cam from Gentle Mates who took down Vitality in the opening round but Vitality quickly recovered and turned their fortunes around, going ahead 3-1. Vitality take on FURIA in the quarter-final. FURIA also conceded just a single match in the group stage but are coming into the tournament off of an S-tier event win in their previous showing.

Spirit are the other 3-0 team from the group stage and things are looking up for the Russian side with other individuals stepping up when donk slacks off. sh1ro, aweih and tN1R have top fragged across Spirit's three group stage matches. Spirit square up against FaZe, the last team to book their playoffs spot from the 2-2 pool. FaZe's opening game was a default forfeit after they failed to field their full roster at the time of invitation due to rain's absence. The Norwegian joined FaZe from the second round, enabling them to resume their EPL campaign.
