The MongolZ eliminated from ESL Pro League Season 22 by NAVI
The MongolZ's ESL Pro League Season 22 Playoff dreams are over as the Asian team have been sent home from the event after a 0-2 loss to Natus Vincere (NAVI) in their 2-2 bracket game. The MongolZ, who started the event with back-to-back losses were looking to turn it around from 0-2 to 3-2 but fell in the final step of the Swiss rounds.
The series kicked off with an absolute blowout on NAVI's pick of Nuke where The MongolZ weren't able to put up a defensive hold that saw NAVI smash them 13-3 to get things underway. On their own pick of Ancient, a strong T start post the pistol meant that The MongolZ went 6-1 before five on the trot saw NAVI tie up the half. NAVI continued the momentum to keep it clean post their T side pistol win but it was The MongolZ hitting map point first with a heroic 2v5 from Senzu and Techno saw The MongolZ's CT side take shape.
NAVI held on against two map points to push Ancient to overtime, where they kept it clean to close the series with a 16-12 win with iM top fragging for Aleksib and co. on both maps. The 2-0 win for NAVI sees them book a place in the Playoffs of ESL Pro League Season 22 while the top ranked team coming into this event, The MongolZ, go home with a 2-3 record.
