s1mple and co. crash out of Skyesports CEGC CS2 EU Qualifier
In the semi-final of the European Qualifier for Skyesports Chennai Esports Global Championship's Counter-Strike 2 LAN, BC.Game took on BIG. With the duo of s1mple and electroNic reuniting, BC.Game were among the favorites to clear the qualifier comfortably. However, BIG's JDC gave his team a powerful start on the first map, stunning BC.Game with a 13-5(K-D) showing on the T-side of Overpass.
BC.Game won the pistol round on their CT-side but fumbled the anti-eco, giving BIG ample amount of time to strengthen their lead before the fragile CT-economy recovered. Clawing back a couple of rounds here and there off of individual heroics, BC.Game were restricted to a 3-9 disadvantage at halftime with JDC putting up 1.94 rating T-side for BIG at an ADR of 103. BIG dropped just a single round in the second half and closed Overpass 13-4, going 1-0 up in the series. The s1mple-electroNic duo flunked with negative KDs on Overpass.
BC.Game had to fight their way back into the series on the puggish Mirage to stay alive and in contention for a LAN spot and their hopes rested on s1mple lighting up the server. It was gr1ks who lit up the server on Mirage, destroying BC.Game, going 24-8 with a colossal 120 ADR and 2.12 rating. gr1ks took down s1mple six times in head to head fights on Mirage as BC.Game tumbled down to a 2-10 deficit on their T-side. BC.Game looked to bounce back with pistol and anti-eco conversions in the second half but the climb was too steep as BIG recovered and sent BC.Game packing. BIG took Mirage 13-5 to close a dominant 2-0 series and confirm their Skyesports Chennai Esports Global Esports Championship CS2 LAN spot.
