TYLOO to take Falcons in IEM Chengdu opener

Through a post on X, ESL has announced the groups and opening match ups for IEM Chengdu 2025. The $1,000,000 USD tournament kicks off on 3rd November 2025 with sixteen teams split into two equal groups, each running a double-elimination bo3 bracket. The MongolZ are playing their first event in over two years without Senzu.

TYLOO will take on the star-studded Falcons in the opening game in Group A. The MongolZ, also in Group A will start their campaign against HEROIC. With Spirit on the other side of their bracket, TYLOO have a steep climb to make it to the upper-final of group A. In Group B, Lynn Vision square up against FURIA in the opening round with G2 and 3DMAX on the other side of their bracket. The top three teams from each group heads into the six team single-elimination bracket playoffs with the group winners starting in the semi-final.

A bo5 grand-final determines who takes the lion's share of the $1,000,000 USD prize pool and add a page to their ESL Grand Slam progression. The opening matches of IEM Chengdu 2025 are:
