FlyQuest reveal AZR as full-time coach

FlyQuest have announced that veteran Australian player AZR, will be joining their CS2 team as their new head coach. The announcement comes post AZR's one-off appearance in standing in behind the North American organisation at DraculaN Season 2.

One of the more famous names in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, AZR spent the majority of his career with Renegades between 2015 and 2019 before having stints with 100 Thieves, EXTREMUM, Encore, Sprout and most recently TALON. His most notable achievement remains the 3-4th finish at the StarLadder Major Berlin 2019 with Renegades. AZR will be replacing erkaSt as FlyQuest's full-time coach, with the Mongolian parting ways with the team in August 2025. FlyQuest also had their assistanct coach JTR stand behind them at the BLAST Open London 2025.

As coach, AZR will be reunited with jks, who is playing on FlyQuest, with both having played together on Renegades, 100 Thieves and Vox Eminor previously. His first coaching job, the stand-in stint at DraculaN Season 2 went horribly wrong as FlyQuest exited in 7-8th place after being one of the tournament favourites and the PGL Masters Bucharest 2025, which kicks off today, will be his first appointment as full-time coach. FlyQuest will take on GamerLegion in their Bucharest opener.
