Wicked Gaming finishes second at Dust2 India - 1XBET Masters 27
Wicked Gaming fell to Iranian squad OxinGame Esport in the final of the Dust2 India - 1XBET Masters 27, with the Indian team suffering a disappointing loss after an impressive showing in the semi-finals. Wicked Gaming's second place finish also means the wait for an Indian team to win the Dust2 India - 1XBET Masters continues with Flshbck's triumph at the Dust2 India - 1XBET Masters 21, back in April 2025, being the last time an Indian team won the title.
A clean pistol from OxinGame saw them start Wicked Gaming's pick of Ancient with the CT pistol and post the conversions went 4-0 up before a triple from the AK-47 of f1redup saw Wicked Gaming convert an A hit to get on the board. A couple of early rounds saw Wicked Gaming bring it to a one round game at 4-3 in the favour of OxinGame Esport but there was nothing else for Wicked Gaming as a strong defensive half saw them end with 9 CT rounds.
Sharp shooting from Ph1NNN saw Wicked Gaming pick up a much needed pistol but the Indian team weren't able to build momentum around that as a triple from A1oNe got OxinGame's T side going before inSid10ous 1v2 with DEFAULTER suffering a brain fade moment in the dying seconds saw OxinGame put the final nail in the coffin. Despite hitting map point early on in the second half, Wicked Gaming managed to put together a couple of CT rounds before OxinGame Esport closed Ancient at 13-8.
A scrappy CT half had nothing for the Indian team barring a moment of brilliance from f1redup, who came in with a big 1v2 to secure a fourth defensive round for Wicked Gaming. Apart from two B site hits that saw Wicked Gaming pick up their only T rounds, it was clean from OxinGame Esport, who closed Dust2 at 13-6 to seal a 2-0 win to win the final in a comprehensive manner.
OxinGame Esport's win sees them pick up their first-ever Dust2 India - 1XBET Masters 27 title and they take home a prize money of $1000 while Wicked Gaming walks away with a second place finish and a prize money of $500.
