Pros name their best and worst CS positions
In a recent video posted by HLTV, Counter-Strike pros name their best and worst positions to play in-game. In a series of short interviews collected during IEM Cologne 2025 and FISSURE Playground 1, HLTV went around asking pro players their best and worst positions to play in Counter-Strike 2.
Most of the players unified, regarding B-site on Vertigo as one of the worst positions one could find themselves in. mzinho from The MongolZ also indulged in the conversation picking Mid and A-site on Ancient as one of his best positions. When asked about unfavorable positions, mzinho was quick to point out Monster on Overpass.
A variety of responses were recorded for the "Best Positions" category with Banana on Inferno being the most common one. Check out HLTV's video for detailed responses on why these pros like or don't like the positions they mention.
