Aurora scrapes past Legacy to win PGL Masters Bucharest 2025
After making Playoff after Playoff and exiting tournaments in the knockout stages, Aurora finally have their first LAN trophy of 2025 as the Turkish team beat Legacy in the final of PGL Masters Bucharest 2025. It was a dominant start from Aurora in the final before Legacy almost pulled off an incredible reverse sweep but it was the Turkish team holding on for a 3-2 win to take home the title in Bucharest.
The final kicked off on Aurora's pick of Dust2 with jottAAA and XANTARES handing the Turkish squad the T-side pistol. A force buy in the third round got Legacy on the board early with a Scout and MP9 and it was Legacy going on a six round streak before late impact from jottAAA and woxic saw Aurora keep the lead to two for the Brazilians. MAJ3R denied dumau a 1v3 to give Aurora both pistols and despite losing the force once again, they answered back this time with an upgraded buy of their own. A back and forth second half went all the way with XANTARES and woxic powering up right at the end to see Aurora hold on for a 13-11 win.
Wicadia's Dualies opened up the CT pistol for Aurora on Legacy's pick of Mirage and it was another back and forth half as Legacy picked up five T rounds. Barring multi kill rounds from saadzin and n1ssim on the AWP, Legacy had nothing to show on their T side saw Aurora eased toa 13-8 win.
Legacy finally found momentum on Train, putting up a stunning CT hold to take a six round lead but the Turkish squad answered back with an equally impressive CT side to push the map to overtime. The back and forth affair continue with Legacy edging out Aurora 19-17 to keep themselves alive in the final as latto top fragged with 31 kills.
Inferno was the lux show as he led from the front, a 19 kill half from the IGL of Legacy set them on the way for a 13-8 win to tie up the series 2-2 as the Brazilians were looking to reverse sweep the final. A jottAAA triple saw Aurora start the decider on Nuke with the T pistol. It was another tight half which saw Aurora hold on for a two round lead before a lux 1v2 in the second pistol saw Legacy go on a five round streak to go 10-7 up. Two massive retakes on the B site got Aurora back in teh game and it was the Turkish team holding on for a nervy 13-11 win to seal the final 3-2 and see off Legacy's comeback attempt.
