Wicked Gaming turns it around to win AMD GameOn 2025
Wicked Gaming have won the AMD GameOn 2025 CS2 event after reverse sweeping Arise 2-1 in the Grand Final. After dropping their own map pick, it was Ph1NNN leading from the front to bring Wicked Gaming back into the final as they dug dig to take the series. Ph1NNN finished the final with a 1.60 rating, and put up a 2.22 rating in the decider which saw Wicked dominate Arise to close the final.
Wicked Gaming's pick of Ancient was the opening map of the final and a quick B hit from Bhavi and co. saw Arise start with the T pistol. Early pressure on the B site saw Arise take the early momentum and a reV3nnnn 1v4 on the B site saw Arise continue their streak. A DEFAULTER triple on the A site saw Wicked Gaming find their second but that was about it as Arise closed out the half with 9 T rounds.
Despite heading into an empty B site, a sloppy hold from Wicked Gaming saw Arise end up cleaning up a relatively easy pistol win to hit double digits. A force buy with two Galils and the Tec-9s saw Wicked Gaming pick up a big force buy which helped them put together a string of rounds. After bringing it to a two-round game, it was a Benzene and Bhavi double opener that helped Arise retake on the A site to get back to winning ways and Bhavi and co. managed to close out their opponent's pick at 13-9.
Wicked Gaming finally found a pistol, picking up the T-side pistol on Inferno and converting against the eco and force to go 3-0 up early on. It was all Arise after that as an eight-round streak led by reV3nnnn's AWP that saw Arise take an 8-4 lead at the break. Wicked Gaming locked in both pistols on Inferno and big CT half with Ph1NNN and Crazy_Gamer leading from the front, Wicked Gaming stole a 13-11 win to tie up the final at 1-1.
The decider on Dust2 was a lopsided affair though with CycloneF clutching out a 1v1 against Bhavi to see Wicked Gaming seal another pistol and while Arise managed to pick up a couple of T rounds, it wasn't enough. With Ph1NNN powering up along with early impact on their T side from DEFAULTER, Wicked Gaming eased to a 13-6 win to reverse sweep the series 2-1.
Wicked Gaming takes home not only the AMD GameOn 2025 CS2 title but also a prize money of on INR 3,00,000 while Arise takes home a prize money of INR 1,00,000 for their second place finish. For DEFAULTER, its another LAN title in the bag for the experienced Indian IGL.
Both teams will be back in action shortly at the Skyesports Chennai Global Esports Championship 2025, with Wicked Gaming and Arise being the two Indian representatives at the international LAN event, which will also have BIG and French squad Mousquetaire in attendance.
