m0NESY lights up IEM Chengdu opener; shuts down TYLOO
TYLOO took on Falcons in the opening match of IEM Chengdu 2025. The series started on Inferno with TYLOO securing pistol and anti-eco wins on the CT-side. m0NESY, NiKo and kyousuke dragged Falcons back into the game, tying the half at 6-6. Once the sides switched, it was game over for TYLOO as the m0NESY-kyousuke duo went berserk posting 15 and 14 frags respectively at ADRs of 157 and 119 in the second half. Falcons scooped up a 13-8 win on Inferno dropping just a couple of rounds on their CT-side as m0NESY posted a 1.82 rating map.
TYLOO had to take down Falcons on their own map pick of Ancient to stay alive in the series but Falcons started with an eight-rounds streak on the T-side, further crushing TYLOO's comeback hopes. After TYLOO tumbled down to a 3-9 disadvantage, m0NESY shut down TYLOO's A-rush in the second half's pistol round taking down four with the duelies posting his fourth quad-kill of the map.
Falcons won Inferno 13-3 off of a flawless CT-side as m0NESY once again went lights out, delivering a stunning 2.40 rating game at an ADR of 132 with a K/D in excess of 3. With one of their biggest stars finding form early in the series, Falcons look to take full advantage of the momentum as they stand two wins away from a semi-final spot and one away from a quarter-final spot. Falcons will take on the winner of Spirit vs paIN. TYLOO will continue their IEM Chengdu journey in the lower bracket with their backs against elimination.
