Xanzu on third-place finish: "It's a payoff for our works"

Xanzu from DEEP CROSS talks about his third-place finish at Skyesports CEGC 2025

After securing third-place at Skyesports CEGC 2025, Deep Cross Gaming's Xanzu sat down with Dust2 India to talk about his journey in Chennai, the team's third place finish, playing with a new team with limited practice time and more.

You have looked so happy throughout this tournament? How are you feeling right now after finishing third?

Of course, after we won. It may be understandable, you know. For me, and my team it's our first LAN together. And it's a great achievement. Especially since it's international.

Were you happy with Nuke being selected in the BO1?

Basically yeah. We practice Nuke a lot. It's one of our strongest maps.

How important is third place for you considering VRS points?

It's very important because the third place had a prize of $4000. If we lost, we got nothing. And our efforts would be wasted. So, at least we got third place. It's a payoff for our works.

And for VRS?

I don't know. I haven't checked VRS. I am not sure about it.

How many more days do you have in India?

This is our last day. Tomorrow we are going to go home, maybe at the morning.

Did you get to visit any places?

Not yet actually. We practiced the whole time. Every time we had free time, we practices, watched demos, and stuff.
