BLAST Rivals Hong Kong: Preview

BLAST Rivals Hong Kong kicks off this Wednesday, 12th November 2025. Carrying a prize pool of $350,000 USD, the second BLAST Rivals event of the year will accommodate a total of eight teams, in two groups of four each. The two Asian teams- The MongolZ and TYLOO are placed in separate groups. These groups host a double-elimination bo3 bracket sending the group winners to the semi-finals while runners and runners-up take stage to battle it out in the quarter-final.

The single-elimination playoffs bracket will conclude with a bo5 grand-final on 16th November 2025. BLAST Rivals Hong Kong is the last S-tier event before the StarLadder Budapest 2025 Major. BLAST Rivals Hong Kong is set to be the biggest esports event in Hong Kong till date. The event has reportedly secured an "M" mark designation by the Major Sports Events Committee under the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). "The 'M' Mark is awarded only to major sporting events that significantly enhance Hong Kong’s international image as a premier destination for sports and entertainment.", says BLAST in their blogpost.

The MongolZ takes on Passion UA in the tournament opener at 07:30AM IST on Wednesday, 12th November 2025 and a potential thriller follows at 10:00AM IST on the same day matching Falcons up against Spirit.

Some of Counter-Strike's sharpest aimers at the moment- donk, kyousuke and NiKo will square up in Group A's second game at BLAST Rivals Hong Kong. The other Asian team in the mix, TYLOO takes on Vitality in Group B as FURIA face paIN in yet another Brazilian derby. The top three teams from each group proceeds to the single-elimination playoffs with group winners starting in the semi-finals.
