olofmeister inducted into HLTV Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame committee have made their picks and top three have been revealed. olofmeister, markeloff and cogu have stand above the rest, set to be inducted into HLTV's Hall of Fame during the upcoming HLTV Awards show in January 2026. While the community response was mostly positive, some threw around playful banter pointing out how olofmeister, on the FaZe bench got a Hall of Fame induction before other retired players.

markeloff and cogu gained massive popularity during their Counter-Strike 1.6 days, while the former tried his hand at Global Offensive, his performance was only a shadow of what he delivered back in the 1.6 days. markeloff was undoubtedly among the best in his prime and his aggressive AWPing inspired a whole new generation of AWPers to push the limits with the big green. in 2010 markeloff was named the best player in the world. At one point, even s1mple revealed that he idolized markeloff growing up.

cogu, known even today for putting Brazilian Counter-Strike on the map is the second inductee of this year. Playing with MIBR, cogu was one of the best AWPers in Brazil at the time and was among the greatly feared Counter-Strike campaigners during his time. He even switched to Counter-Strike Source and Global Offensive, taking on various coaching roles before calling it a day. Even to this day, cogu stands as one of Brazilian Counter-Strike's most decorated campaigners.

Swedish Counter-Strike legend olofmeister rounds off the list as the final 2025 Hall of Fame inductee. olofmeister was regarded as one of the finest hybrid players in the early days of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and even has a graffiti, immortalizing one of his plays on Overpass. The two-time Major champion has attended over 95 high profile LAN events, winning 25 of them. Snatching a Major MVP at ESL One Katowice 2015 and recording back to back Top 20 entries in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017, olofmeister is right up there with the all-time greats of Counter-Strike.
