Poor decisions from xerolte leads to The Huns' exit from Budapest

Some classic Asian Counter-Strike

The Huns' Major campaign ended late last night as the Mongolian team went down 0-2 to Imperial in the 1-2 bracket game that saw The Huns exit the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 with a 1-3 record in Stage 1.

On the opening map of Nuke, which was The Huns' pick, the Asian squad never really got going and went down 8-13 to be chasing the game. Switching to Mirage, it was T side start for The Huns and after losing the pistol, The Huns' T side took time to get going and it was a big round from xerolte that included a knife kill and a 1v2 that saw them get on the board. Being 2-7 down, The Huns found a third off the back of a B hit in round 11 and had put Imperial's economy on the brink.

Round 12 started with xerolte getting an opener as he took out noway. to see The Huns hold a 5v4 man advantage. It was looking like they would hit the B site through a mid spilt but xerlote had found an opening on the A site and the bomb was rotating to the B site with xerolte sneakily finding himself in a unmanned pocket near Jungle. Imperial had two players in Connector, chelo and skullz, both having their backs turned to xerolte with the smoke at the Connector just beginning to fading.

xerolte slowly cleared the A site and entered Connector finding chelo just move ahead from the left front-side with the Brazilian's back turned to xerolte and unaware that his opponent had crept up behind him. Instead of taking the kill directly and shooting his opponent, xerolte made the questionable decision to try for another knife on the map. xerolte was unaware that skullz was also in Connector and just as he jumped down the stairs to stab chelo in the back, skullz heard his footsteps and instantly turned and killed xerolte. The Huns eventually went on to lose the round with the Mongolian team going down 12-16 in overtime.
