Sources: gla1ve's coaching journey to begin with 100 Thieves
Famed and decorated former Astralis in-game leader gla1ve, announced his retirement from the competitive space a couple of weeks ago but expressed his interest towards coaching roles. Multiple sources have told HLTV that 100 Thieves would onboard gla1ve as their coach, coming in as the organization's second move after their re-entry into competitive Counter-Strike. 100 Thieves have already picked up rain, who parted ways with FaZe last month.
gla1ve has attended fourteen Majors across his decade long Counter-Strike career and has led Astralis to four Major victories- three of them coming back to back. In his prime, gla1ve pulled his weight in the firepower department while calling the shots. He secured an MVP at IEM Beijing 2019 and has 12 EVPs under his belt including a Major EVP at FACEIT London 2018. His last event with Astralis came at BLAST Spring Final 2023 where the team suffered a group stage exit. After leading ENCE to title wins at Elisa Masters Espoo 2024, CCT Season 3 European Series #1 and YGames PRO Series 2025, gla1ve called it a day on his competitive Counter-Strike career as a player.
After 100 Thieves announced their return to competitive Counter-Strike, they were rumored to be going after GamerLegion's core but the organization's CEO quickly debunked the rumors last month through a post on X, confirming that there were no active discussions between the two organizations related to buying or selling players.
