The MongolZ get on the board in Budapest after win over Liquid
After a disappointing loss the Imperial in their opening game at the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, The MongolZ got on the board after a win over Liquid in their 0-1 bracket game. The win sees The MongolZ end their opening day at Stage 3 by moving into the 1-1 bracket while Liquid stare at an early elimination after back to back losses.
bLitz was the main factor for The MongolZ making their opening game close and it was him with impact again as he helped The MongolZ pick up a big CT pistol to start their second game. Barring to early B hits in the first two gun rounds of the half, there was nothing else Liquid could manage as a five round CT streak which saw The MongolZ 8-4 up with a late B hit in the final round of the half seeing EliGE lock in a fourth for Liquid. controlez's A site hold including a stunning ace meant that The MongolZ gave nothing to Liquid.
A B hit opened and closed by mzinho saw The MongolZ lay the final nail in the coffin and while NAF and EliGE's MP9s found a low buy round that resulted in a couple more, The MongolZ wrapped up Inferno quick with a 13-9 win with Techno closing out the match with a knife on ultimate.
