
The MongolZ's sloppiness punished by Imperial in Stage 3 opener
Asia's only remaining hope at the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, The MongolZ, kicked off their campaign at Stage 3 of the Major with a sloppy performance against Imperial in their opening BO1 game. The MongolZ were slow to get going and dropped numerous man advantage rounds that sees them now drop to the 0-1 bracket and they will look to get on the board later on today, when they get in the server again for their second BO1.
mzinho's crucial quad kill saw The MongolZ kick off their Major campaign on Dust2 with the CT pistol. The Brazilians were on the board instantly as soon as they brought out the guns with skullz opening up a B hit. A 2v4 turn around from chelo and try saw Imperial go on to take the lead early on before a big round from bLitz saw The MongolZ tie up the score at 3-3. With bLitz stepping up, it was The MongolZ finding six on the half before Imperial found two at the very end off the back of a low buy B hit that saw them tie up the score at 6-6.

Techno's 1v1 clutch made sure The MongolZ didn't fumble a 3v5 in the second pistol. chelo brought Imperial back into the game as a 2v4 retake on the A site and quad kill from CT saw the Brazilians hit double digits first. A mixed buy B hit and a 2v3 conversion with a massive triple from controlez saw The MongolZ tie up the score at 11-11 before oing on to hit match point first. Imperial held on to push the map to overtime as a massive triple kill hold on the B site from skullz in the final round of the game saw Imperial keep fighting on.
A late B hit with skullz opening up the B site saw Imperial get to match point first in overtime and a massive round from chelo in the final round of overtime saw Imperial turn around a 3v5 to hold on for a 16-14 win.
