"It was one of the most unforgettable moments": Elfishguy on Forsaken's word.exe incident
The sixth edition of ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND Asia CS Open is a few weeks away and with Chinggis Warriors replacing The Huns, the teams have been finalized. eXTREMESLAND posted a video on X, featuring Elfishguy, one of eXTREMESLAND's longest standing English casters. Elfishguy started off by looking back at his initial days of Counter-Strike broadcast. "I didn't think it would be a reality, it was just a hobby which made me a little bit of money on the side", said Elfishguy about his entry into Counter-Strike casting back in 2015.
He then talks about his first eXTREMESLAND experience back in 2018 when he remotely casted games from ESL's studio in Sydney. When asked about his most memorable moment, Elfishguy quickly brings up the infamous Forsaken incident from eXTREMESLAND 2018. The Aussie caster regarded Forsaken's word.exe incident as one the most unforgettable moments in Counter-Strike history.
The most memorable moment I think is probably not one that many people want to actually remember but certainly the word.exe instance back in 2018 was (I think) one of the most unforgettable moments in Counter-Strike history. Obviously a player getting caught cheating on LAN was not something we expected to be casting but that's actually one of the biggest moments I've ever been involved in as a caster and people to this day will go back and look at that video and they'll ask me 'was that you casting that?' and I'll say 'Yeah!', so that's definitely an unforgettable moment.

Moving on, Elfishguy spoke about how The MongolZ winning eXTREMESLAND 2023 showed signs of the roster going on an extraordinary run in the near future, which indeed did happen with The MongolZ recording a playoffs appearance at Perfect World Shanghai 2024 and then a grand-final appearance at BLAST.tv Austin 2025. Elfishguy also praised eXTREMESLAND for being the most important Counter-Strike tournament in the Asian scene right now and how they bring in teams from regions that are more or less overlooked.
