FaZe turn up the nonsense to make Grand Finals in Budapest

FaZe hold on in another classic

They are known for the ridiculous plays and impossible comebacks and that is just what karrigan and his boys showed in front of a packed arena in Budapest for the StarLadder Major 2025 semi-final. FaZe had to bring out the reverse sweep to make the Finals and were staring at defeat before individual brilliance saw them pull through in a thrilling encounter. FaZe will now take on Vitality in an attempt to win their first-ever CS2 Major after having finished runner-up twice before.

jcobbb denied iM a 1v3 to hand FaZe the opening pistol but that was about it as Aleksib T side masterclass led by makazze opening up sites with ease to see NAVI go 10-2 on their map pick of Ancient. frozen made sure FaZe picked up both pistols on Ancient as he denied Aleksib a 1v2 retake attempt and kept it clean in the conversions. NAVI though took the first gun round in the second half and they wasted no time in closing things out at 13-5 with makazze on top of the scoreboard with 21 kills.

iM's triple on the Dualies saw NAVI start Nuke with the CT pistol and it was an incredible CT hold from NAVI as karrigan had no answer to get his team going. A sloppy T side along with being out-aimed meant that FaZe ended their pick with a mere fourT rounds, with a big Twistzz clutch in the penultimate round of the half helping them find a couple at the end.

FaZe picked up both pistols and were one round away from tieing up the score before NAVI hit back with the pistols. A couple of low buy rounds saw NAVI come inches closer to the series win but it was frozen single-handedly keeping FaZe in the game with crucial multi-kills and an icredible 1v3 which helped FaZe turn up the heat late to steal a 13-11 win to tie up the series 1-1.

Bringing in the momentum from the final few rounds on Nuke, FaZe stormed to a massive CT side saw they went 9-3 up with a b1t quad being the only highlight for NAVI on the decider. AleksiB handed NAVI a much needed pistols and a couple of last second retakes kept NAVI alive until Twistzz's magical 1v3 with the Deagle put FaZe on match point. FaZe ensured they gave NAVI no shot at a comeback as a quick B hit saw them close Inferno at 13-8 which helped them reverse sweep the series 2-1.
