Rooster's uninspiring Inferno CT side sees them exit eXTREMESLAND Asia Open 2025
Change The Game have hung on and sent Rooster packing from eXTREMESLAND Asia Open 2025 after reverse sweeping the Oceania squad in their quarter-final encounter. Rooster started the series with a stunning comeback win on Overpass and after being swept aside on Dust2, Rooster looked like they would've taken the series after starting strong on Inferno but an uninspiring CT half saw Change The Game fight back to move into the final four.
Change The Game started Rooster's pick of Overpass with a clean CT pistol as it looked like the Chinese team would race away with the CT half with them going 7-2 up in no time. TjP and chelleos's impactful multi-kill rounds saw Rooster claw back four T rounds before the Oceania squad evened out the pistols. A near flawless CT half with chelleos and TjP stepping up again saw Rooster steal a 13-10 win to draw first blood in the series.
asap and ju1ces handed Rooster another CT pistol to get Dust2 going but after holding on against a scary force buy, Rooster dropped a round to upgraded pistols to see Change The Game convert an A hit early on to get on the board. Big multi-kill rounds including importannt A site clutches from LaiKeXu saw Change The Game edge ahead in a close half to take a 7-5 lead.
Change The Game picked up a messy CT pistol by retaking the B site but Rooster's pistols saw them take over the B site on the force to answer back instantly. VanceKK and LaiKeXu saw Change The Game hit back with a stellar two man A hold and that was all the momentum the Chinese team needed to hit match point. A couple of big rounds from ju1ces gave Rooster some hope of a comeback but the Oceania team dropped a dropped to a mixed buy with VanceKK's double on the Five-Seven putting the final nail in the coffin for Rooster as Change The Game stole a 13-9 win to tie up the series.
Change The Game carried the Dust2 momentum into Inferno as they kept it clean early on to pick up a clean pistol and conversions post. A Tec-9 A split saw Rooster get on the board and with TjP leading from the front, Rooster constantly hit the B site saw them take control of the half. An asap 1v3 in the penultimate round of the half saw Rooster secure the half as they went on to take a 7-5 lead.
chelleos' heroic A site hold wasn't enough as 957's triple saw Change The Game pick up both pistols on the decider and after waltzing onto an empty A site in the eco, the scores were tied up at 7-7. Continous A hits saw Change The Game take the lead before chelleos' quad kill with the AWP got Rooster their first CT round. Rooster's CT side was non-existent apart from that round as Change The Game eased to a 13-9 win sticking the reverse sweep to move into the semi-finals.
