EliGE gets VAC'd
EliGE took to X yesterday, showing a picture of his Premier match getting cancelled in Counter-Strike 2 after VAC-Live detected "irregular gameplay". The North American star mentions that it was the first time any of his matches triggered VAC-Live cooldown and when asked in the replies, EliGE confirmed that VAC-Live was likely triggered by his gameplay.
At the time of the VAC-Live trigger, EliGE was sitting on a hefty 13-2 record with a K/D in excess of 6 just seven rounds into the game. "INTERESTING SYSTEM", said EliGE talking about the VAC Live cooldown which was set to expire after 24 hours. Later on EliGE revealed that he event couldn't queue FACEIT because of the temporary cooldown, tagging Counter-Strike for help.
While some people in comments section grilled Valve for VAC Live flagging everything but blatant cheating as irregular gameplay, other jokingly pointed out EliGE's VAC moment in the FaZe-VP clash at ESL Pro League. The community also pointed out that EliGE's position and visibility in the Counter-Strike community can get a quick manual review from Valve to rectify the situation but normal players or even semi-pros with slightly lesser visibility would have no choice but to suffer through the false positive.
