S-tier Counter-Strike has wrapped up for the year following the conclusion of the StarLadder Budapest 2025 Major where Vitality defended their crown, securing back to back Major titles. Through a post on X, Esports Charts has released the list of top five most watched Counter-Strike events on the year.

With no surprises, topping the list if the BLAST.tv Austin 2025 Major. In June 2025, Counter-Strike's biggest and most prestigious event returned to North America with Austin, Texas hosting the first Major of 2025. Vitality were on an absolute rampage in the early half of 2025, winning everything in their path and came into the Austin Major as the clear favorites. A fairytale run from The MongolZ quickly stole the stage, as they recorded Asia's deepest Counter-Strike Major run of all time.

The MongolZ took a map off of Vitality but apEX's men reverse swept the series 2-1 winning the Austin Major. The Major was filled up upsets, fairytale runs and high fragging maps, making it the most watched Counter-Strike event of 2025 at 76.1 million watch hours. The second Major of the year- StarLadder Budapest 2025 takes the second place with 71.3 million watch hours.

ESL's super-elite events- IEM Cologne and Katowice hold #3 and #4 on the list with viewership numbers in excess of 30 million. ESL Pro League Season 22 rounds off the list with 28.1 million watch hours.
