torzsi earns the 17th spot in HLTV's Top 20 of 2025

Twenty-three year old Hungarian sniper Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás has secured the 17th spot in HLTV's top 20 list of 2025, marking back-to-back appearances on the list. Last year, torzsi found himself in the 20th spot, with an average rating of 1.06 and a round swing of +0.84. This year, he has averaged a 1.07 rating across 191 maps, with a round swing of +0.78.

Despite only a slight change in his ratings across the two years, the level of opposition torzsi has faced has been significantly stronger. In 2024, 62% of his matches were against top-10 opponents and 34% against top-5 teams. This year, those figures have risen to 72% and 49% respectively.

torzsi clinched a total of four EVPs this year, with solid performances across PGL Cluj Napoca 2025, ESL Pro League Season 21, IEM Dallas 2025, and IEM Cologne 2025. The start of the year prospered for the Hungarian AWPer, with a Cluj-Napoca title, a second-place 1.25 rated IEM Dallas 2025, and a 1.13 rated performance at IEM Cologne 2025 which ended in another second place finish.

However, torzsi cooled off massively during the end of the season, with five subpar showings. He could only muster a 0.73 rating at BLAST Open London Finals 2025, a 0.95 rating at ESL Pro League Season 22, a 0.99 rating at IEM Chengdu 2025, and a 1.02 rating at the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025.

Despite this, torzsi was the third highest rated player for MOUZ, behind xertioN and Spinx, and played a key role in getting MOUZ a total of 11 top three finishes this year.
