controlez's stand-in stint with The MongolZ comes to an end
As the year draws to an end, The MongolZ have announced they will not extend controlez's contract with the team with the 28-year old Mongolian's stand-in stint with the team coming to an end. controlez had joined the team in late October 2025, to replace Senzu and stood in for the team at three events, including the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025.
Following the Thunderpick World Championship 2025, where The MongolZ finished third, back in October 2025, the team made a surprise announcement stating that Senzu was being moved to the bench after 'careful discussions'. Shortly after they brought in controlez from Chinggis Warriors to replace Senzu, controlez made his return to The MongolZ at IEM Chengdu 2025. In his first game back in The MongolZ jersey, controlez led the comeback against HEROIC as The MongolZ reverse swept HEROIC to pick up a big win in their group game at Chengdu with controlez dropping a 1.20 rating.
Over the course of the three tournaments (IEM Chengdu 2025, BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 2 and StarLadder Budapest Major 2025) controlez played for The MongolZ, he put up a rating of 1.05. It is not clear whether Senzu will return to the lineup or not but he remains the The MongolZ's highest rated player in 2025 with a 1.12 rating with controlez and mzinho joint-second with a 1.05 rating. The MongolZ's Esports World Cup 2025 triumph remains their only LAN title win of the year with the Asian powerhouses falling short in the Playoffs and finals once again on multiple occasions.
A veteran of the Mongolian scene, controlez broke into the scene back in 2017 and even had a short stint with The MongolZ back then between November - December, 2017. After playing for teams likes Checkmate, ARAVT and NomadS, he made maiden Major appearance with Chinggis Warriors at the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025.
