Esports Charts has released a list featuring the ten esports events of 2025 in terms of media value. The media value of an event is determined by the cost of advertising a brand logo that covers 1% of the screen during the broadcast. These are the key points that Esports Charts uses to calculate the media valve of events:

  • How many people are watching a localized broadcast?

  • How long did the stream last?

  • What's the price tag in that region? (cost to show an ad to 1,000 people)

  • How visible was the logo?

With an Estimated Media Value of $34,719,282 USD, the BLAST.tv Austin 2025 Major enters the list at #3, trailing behind Worlds 2025 at #2 and LCK 2025 Season at #1. LCK 2025 holds a clear lead at the top off of a format revamp, that led to a significantly longer broadcast duration. The second Counter-Strike Major of the year- StarLadder Budapest 2025 has also been estimated at a media value $31,293,202 coming in at #5.

Counter-Strike an League of Legends hold the duopoly in the top five with the Dota 2 International and a couple of VALORANT events making their entries towards the lower end of the list.
