"I like it": s1mple on new Anubis

Before IEM Kraków 2026 kicked off yesterday, Sjokz and SPUNJ walked through the lobbies catching some backstage chit-chat on air. ESL's video starts with Sjokz talking to BC.Game's new coach TaZ and not long after, s1mple hopped on for a quick chat. s1mple has been the talking point of the tournament so far, returning to the highest level of competition after being out of action for months on end.

s1mple was asked about his thoughts on the changes to Anubis and the legendary AWPer seems to have taken a liking to them.

I like it, it's more fun to play on middle now. And a bit dangerous to play towards cave, and I think it's a fun spot for mid round and clutches as well.

While many viewed the changes as advantages for the CTs, s1mple said that the map had gotten worse for the CTs with the new changes and suggested that spawn point modifications could fix some of that. s1mple's BC.Game started their IEM Krakow campaign with a dominant win over Legacy but did not get to play Anubis.
