NEXVOID stun The Huns to win MESA Pro Series Opening 2026
Former FlyQuest coach and Mongolian veteran erkaSt's NEXVOID squad has beaten The Huns in the final of the MESA Pro Series Opening 2026 to win the $3000 LAN tournament in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The NEXVOID team also consisted of Zesta and AccuracyTG, both of whom were handed eight months ban by ESIC in May 2025 for failing to report breaches.
NEXVOID's pick of Overpass got the final going with them picking up the T-side pistol and conversinos. The Huns managed to put together a couple of rounds off the back of the first gun round win but that was about it as NEXVOID took an 8-4 lead. The second half pistol and conversions saw The Huns fight back but Zesta stepped up as NEXVOID held on for a 13-10 win with Zesta topping the scoreboard with 24 kills.
A strong CT side despite losing the pistol on The Huns' pick of Ancient meant that NEXVOID started with another lead, this time going 7-5 but a stellar defensive hold from The Huns themselves with Bart4k, sk0r and controlez saw The Huns steal a 13-11 from being 6-10 down to tie up the series. On Inferno, it was a back and forth affair as neither team could find momentum which saw the decider head to overtime. Neither team was willing to budge and it took all round of the first overtime as NEXVOID stole a 16-14 win to take the series 2-1.
The win sees NEXVOID pick up not only a $1650 prize money but also crucial VRS points as the unranked team's LAN title win will do them a world of good. The Huns go home with a prize money of $750 while BMZ and NomadS finished third and fourth respectively.
