JiJieHao eliminates Eternal Fire, HOTU picks up dominant win to conclude Day 1 games at the IstanbuLAN 2026
The first day's action at the IstanbuLAN 2026 rounded out with the final round of the games in the Round of 16 which saw a number of Turkish teams eliminated from their home event. JiJieHao with juanflatroo standing in picked up a big win to move into the semi-finals while HOTU rounded out the day with a comfortable win to proceed to the quarter-finals.
magic and 9INE proceed to quarter-finals
Russian squad magic kicked off the second round of games against ex-GANK with magic picking up a comfortable 13-6 win on the Turkish team's pick of Dust2 to get the series going. It was a comfortable win in the end as they wrapped up the series 2-0 after a big 13-5 win on their pick of Ancient to eliminate the home team.
9INE were another team who faced one of the home teams and raalz and co. were tested by PCIFIC. A strong CT half saw 9INE start the series with a 13-10 win on their pick of Inferno before seeing off a late comeback attempt on Dust2 to close the series in a 2-0 manner.

AaB sent home, JiJieHao survive Eternal Fire test
Danish team AaB were up against SENER1 and co.'s MANA squad and the team from Kosovo kept it clean against the Danes. BledarD and Caleyy's top performance on Nuke saw MANA take a big 13-4 win to start the series before a 22-kill performance from Caleyy saw MANA close out the series on their pick of Mirage with a 13-6 win to send the Danes home.
One of the bigger clashes of the day saw JiJieHao go up against Eternal Fire with Eternal Fire's new mixed lineup in action. Eternal Fire started the round of 16 match with a 13-9 win on their pick of Mirage with Woro2K stepping up with a 24 kill performance. The m1N1 show on Ancient saw JiJieHao tie up the series with a big 13-7 win of their own before a flawless T sie on the decider of Dust2 handed JiJieHao a 2-1 series win.

The final game of the day had HOTU going up against ROCEAN Lords, another domestic team with the Turkish team's pick of Dust2 kicking off the series. An 11-round CT side from HOTU saw them sail to a 13-4 win with mizu on the top of the scoreboard with 23 kills. On their pick of Ancient, the Russian squad were all over the home team as a strong T side saw them race away to another big start. HOTU went one better this time as it was a flawless T side to start the second map with the map feeling like a mismatch of teams given the vast disparity in skill on show between the two teams. An A-site shut down saw HOTU close things out with a commanding 13-0 to take the series 2-0 and move into the final eight.
