The MongolZ unable to make EPL S23 Playoffs with a 3-0 record
The MongolZ have suffered their first loss at the ESL Pro League Season 23 after going down to MOUZ in their 2-0 bracket game which sees the Mongolian team unable to secure a Playoffs spot with a flawless record. Its not the end of the road for The MongolZ though, as they still have two chances to make the Playoffs and have now dropped to the 2-1 bracket.
The MongolZ's pick of Ancient was the opening map of the series and it was a no-show from bLitz and co. as they were blown away by MOUZ with torzsi's AWP taking control to see MOUZ start with a commanding 13-1 win. The MongolZ finally got going on Overpass but were unable to build on their CT pistol win as MOUZ started with a 7-5 lead. Spinx's incredible precision saw MOUZ even out the pistols and despite mzinho standing tall for The MongolZ, MOUZ were able to steal a 13-11 win to close the series in two maps thanks to an ace from the MOUZ captain, Brollan, in the final round of regulation on their map pick.
The wins sees MOUZ book their place in the LAN finals, heading into the Playoffs with a clean 3-0 record while The MongolZ have dropped into the 2-1 bracket.
