Rare Atom announce signing of x9

Rare Atom has signed x9 following a new announcement through their social media account on Weibo. x9 joins Rare Atom after almost two years with FengDa, joining Rare Atom as their sixth player. The 22-year old has been announced a day before Rare Atom gets into action at the CS Asia Championships 2026 Asia Closed Qualifier.

x9's first official team was Lord Rabbit, with whom he was between November 2022 and July 2023, before he joined FengDa in May 2024. The rifler boasted of a 1.11 rating in 2025 and joins his former teammate chengking at Rare Atom with both having played previously for FengDa.

Getting an invite to the CS Asia Championships 2026 Asia Closed Qualifier, Rare Atom will kick off their campaign this morning against Australian team Ground Zero with Rare Atom struggling to find consistency recently. The team are currently ranked #103 in the Valve Rankings and #73 in the HLTV world rankings as they have dropped down the pecking order in Asia.
