The final round of games on the opening day at the CS Asia Championships 2026 Asia Closed Qualifier saw the two final upper bracket quarter-finals take place as The Huns and TYLOO ended the day with two big wins over their compatriots.

The Huns beat fellow countrymen NEXVOID
The second round of upper bracket quarter-finals saw the all-Mongolian clash between The Huns and compatriots NEXVOID get the action going. NEXVOID's pick of Inferno was the first map of the series where it was a neck-and-neck game with sk0R getting The Huns over the line with a 21 kill, 1.41 rating performance. On Ancient, despite a 7-5 half for The Huns, NEXVOID weren't able to put up a fight on their T side as The Huns ran away with a 13-8 series win to lock in a 2-0 win.

TYLOO outlast Morningstar
The other quarter-final in the upper bracket was also a derby, a Chinese one, as TYLOO went up against Morningstar. TYLOO came in as the favourites but were pushed to the limit with Morningstar narrowly going down 11-13 on TYLOO's pick of Inferno. On Morningstar's pick of Ancient 8-4 halves from each team pushed the game to overtime and a back and forth game finally ended with TYLOO holding on for a 25-22 win to move into the semi-finals. JamYoung ended the series as the top rated player, dropping 66 frags across the two games with a 1.58 rating for the match.
