Alter Ego take down Rare Atom, FlyQuest stunned by Chinggis Warriors

The second round of games at the CS Asia Championships 2026 Asia Closed Qualifier saw the upper bracket quarter-finals take place as Alter Ego got the better of Rare Atom while FlyQuest suffered a shock defeat to Chinggis Warriors. Alter Ego, boasting of the likes of BnTeT, Gratisfaction and PokemoN move a step closer to making the main event, CS Asia Championships 2026 while FlyQuest drop to the lower bracket.

Here's a quick look at the results from the first two upper bracket quarter-finals at the CS Asia Championship 2026 Asia Closed Qualifier.

Chinggis Warriors stun FlyQuest

The first upper bracket quarter-final was the FlyQuest - Chinggis Warriors bout with the Mongolian team's pick of Nuke being the series opener. Despite a strong CT half from the Australian squad start with an 8-4 lead. Led by tikuak and ligroo, Chinggis Warriors performed an incredible comeback to put up a stellar defensive half from themselves to steal a 13-11 win to start the series.

Dust2, jks and co.'s pick, saw a much closer start with Chinggis Warriors taking a slight lead on their CT side before a clean T side saw them close out the series with a 13-8 win on their opponent's pick to lock in the 2-0 win.

Alter Ego continues to impress

Alter Ego took on Chinese squad Rare Atom in their upper bracket quarter-final with BnTeT and co.'s pick of Dust2 getting things going. A five-round streak on their CT side once the guns came out saw Alter Ego tie up the opening half and it was the BOROS show as the Jordanian rifler dropped 31 frags to see Alter Ego take a 13-10 win.

Mirage was another tight opening half and a trade of rounds saw the Chinese team's pick to head to Mirage and with Polbandana having late impact, Alter Ego stole a 16-14 win.

Alter Ego will now take on Chinggis Warriors in the upper bracket final while FlyQuesthave dropped to the lower bracket where they will go up against the winner of the FengDa - 100RA match.
